Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael Aogán Ó Fearghail was at the Croke Park Hotel last night to help launch Sportsfile’s annual collection of images from the Gaelic Games season.

I’m delighted to get my photo on the front cover, Joe Canning taking in the reality of his wonder point in the All-Ireland SHC semi-final victory against Tipperary.

A nice moment – at the launch with the Uachtarán, and also my dad Séamus. After 37 years working in Croke Park, mostly in event control and safety officer roles, dad worked his last All-Ireland Final as Galway beat Waterford at Croke Park.
